NEW YORK, Aug. 22 (UPI) — Ciara couldn’t be happier with husband Russell Wilson.

The 30-year-old singer gushed about her life with the 27-year-old Seattle Seahawks quarterback in a new interview with People after marrying Wilson at Peckforton Castle in England in July.

“This is the happiest I have ever been,” Ciara told the magazine at the Apollo in the Hamptons Night of Legends party Saturday in East Hampton, N.Y.

“Our wedding was like a fairytale,” she added. “We loved the countryside. We looked at a venue in the U.S., but we also looked abroad, and England just seemed magical and perfect.”

Ciara, who performed the S.O.S. Band song “Just Be Good to Me” at the Apollo event, married Wilson on July 6 after more than a year of dating. Sources recently told E! News that the couple plan to have children in the future.

“They haven’t talked more about wanting kids but they both want to start a new family together,” an insider said. “They focused on their respective careers right now.”

Ciara is already mom to 2-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn with her ex-fiancé, Future. Wilson was loving his new role as stepfather when he appeared on Maria Shriver’s Architects for Change web series this month.

“I’m a stepdad now,” the NFL star said. “He’s so sweet and loving, always has a smile on his face. Being a stepfather, it’s about loving the child because the child can do something amazing in his life.”
