LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) — Claire Holt is engaged to Matt Kaplan.
The 27-year-old Australian actress announced the news with a photo of herself and her fiancé Monday on Instagram. Holt captioned the picture with the diamond ring emoji, writing, “Yes!”
The couple have been together since 2014, and keep their relationship tightly under wraps. Holt was previously linked to The Vampire Diaries co-star Joseph Morgan and fellow Australian actor Luke Mitchell.
Holt portrayed Rebekah Mikaelson on seasons 3, 4 and 5 of The Vampire Diaries, and reprised the role for seasons 1 and 2 of The Originals. The spinoff series was renewed in January, and the actress is expected to return for season 3.
The Originals will premiere a third season on The CW in October. The series co-stars Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies as brothers Niklaus and Elijah Mikaelson, and follows a group of vampires living in New Orleans in the 1900s.
