Police in Wales questioned a man on suspicion of murder on Friday after one woman died and 12 people were injured in a series of hit-and-run incidents in Cardiff.
Seven children were among the injured after a white van mounted the kerb at five different locations, before police eventually stopped the vehicle, witnesses and emergency services said.
A 32-year-old mother was killed when she was hit by the vehicle outside a fire station, Superintendent Julian Williams of South Wales Police said.
Police had arrested a man aged 31 on suspicion of murder, Williams said.
“Whether the actions were deliberate or reckless is a matter for the inquiry and the person will obviously be spoken to,” he said.
