ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police have called divers and the coroner to a canal in eastern Pennsylvania as they search for a 5-year-old boy with autism who wandered away from a New Year’s Eve party without shoes or a coat.
The (Allentown) Morning Call (http://bit.ly/1SsMK2E ) reports that police summoned the divers on Saturday after a searcher found a tablet computer similar to one Jayliel Vega Batista may have been carrying.
The newspaper says police have declined to comment on the find, though they summoned divers to Canal Park shortly after 25-year-old Thurman Clark told the newspaper he found the tablet.
Allentown police and the Lehigh County coroner’s office didn’t immediately return calls Saturday afternoon from The Associated Press.
