BERLIN (AP) — A court in Duesseldorf has ordered a temporarily halt to a strike by Lufthansa flight attendants, but a court spokeswoman said the decision applied only in that city and only for the remaining few hours of Tuesday.
The decision by the Duesseldorf labor court granted Lufthansa’s request for an injunction, saying that the strike’s goals were not clearly formulated.
Court spokeswoman Anke Salchow said the decision only applied Tuesday but that Lufthansa could seek another injunction Wednesday. She said it only applied to Duesseldorf. The UFO flight attendant union is also striking at the airlines’ Frankfurt and Munich hubs.
Company officials could not immediately be reached. Union officials scheduled a news conference for 1730 GMT.
