NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) — The change must be setting his pockets ablaze, because Cristiano Ronaldo has been on an epic summer spending spree.
On the heels of splurging on a Greek Island as a wedding gift for his agent, Ronaldo bought a loft in Trump Tower off of Fifth Avenue in New York City.
The new 2,509 square foot bachelor pad was purchased last Wednesday for $18.5 million, according to the New York Post.
The Real Madrid forward is nearing the back-end of his spectacular career, and has been rumored for a move to Major League Soccer (MLS). His hefty contract expires in 2018.
At 30-years-old, the Portuguese soccer sensation earned $79.5 million in 2015, according to Forbes. He earned $52.6 million this year from salary and winnings and $27 million from endorsements.
