LANCASTER, Texas
Police say a cellphone seized from the home of an Iraq War veteran accused of killing a former Navy SEAL sniper and his friend may contain pictures of him with the victims before their deaths at a Texas shooting range.

Documents released Thursday by Lancaster police show several items were seized after Eddie Ray Routh’s arrest and alleged confession to killing “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle and his friend, Chad Littlefield. The documents say police also seized a box of 9mm ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a blue-jean jacket.

Lancaster police have obtained search warrants for the cellphone’s pictures, text messages and recently called or missed phone numbers.

Authorities say Routh fled the gun range in Kyle’s truck after Saturday’s shooting. Routh remains jailed on $3 million bond.
