DALLAS, Dec. 9 (UPI) — A sour taste probably still sits in Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant’s mouth after his grab last year in the playoffs against Green Bay was ruled and incompletion.
Now Bryant is offering his services as the NFL looks into clarifying what a catch actually is. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he is putting a committee together to study catches, according to ESPN.
That’s cool!” Bryant told USA Today on Tuesday. “They need to invite me. Tell them they need to call me, so I can have my input.”
Bryant, 27, has 407 receptions for 5,766 yards and 58 touchdowns in six seasons with the Cowboys.
Last Wednesday, Goodell met with team owners in Dallas, where he enlisted a group of current and former general managers, players and officials to make recommendations to the NFL competition committee about changes to the catch rule.
