David Beckham shows off ‘tattoos’ from his children

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) — Former soccer player David Beckham allowed his kids to scribble new “tattoos” on his body this week, prompting the proud father to share a shot of their handiwork.

The 40-year-old budding actor first posted a close-up photo of his palm on Instagram Wednesday, featuring a classic scribble of a smiling stick figure next to a heart symbol. “Apparently Harper is allowed to scribble on daddy,” Beckham wrote alongside the pic.

A second close-up photo shows a simple sentenced penned by his older sons on an unrecognizable part of his body reading, “We love you Daddy” in neat, childlike handwriting. “The boys expressing how they feel about daddy,” the famed British soccer star wrote followed by a series of emojis.

Beckham is a father of four, who announced his retirement from his 20-year professional soccer career in 2013. In early September, Beckham opened up about plans to enter Hollywood as an actor saying he was prepared for the criticism that comes with the job.

“I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed,” he told The Times. “I know that it is such a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.”
