Deadly shootout, explosion reported in downtown Paris; 18 reported dead

PARIS, Nov. 13 (UPI) — A bloody shootout and at least one explosion were reported in downtown Paris Friday, news media and authorities said.

Details of the incidents were not immediately clear, but witnesses said the shooting began at the Cambodge restaurant near the Stade de France in the city’s 10th arrondissement. Some witnesses said they saw at least two gunmen.

One gunman was firing from an automatic weapon, BBC News reported.

CNN reported at least 18 dead and many more injured, citing affiliate BFMTV.
