Dermatologist to the stars Dr. Brandt found dead

MIAMI, April 6 (UPI) — Over the weekend, famous doctor and skin care expert, Fredric Brandt, was found dead by his housekeeper in his Miami home.

The cause of his death has not yet been determined. He was 65.

His publicist, Jacquie Trachtenberg, told the New York Post that his death came after an illness.

“I worked with him for over 20 years and he was an amazing man, not only was he a brilliant doctor, but he was the kindest human being,” said Trachtenberg.

Lesley Abravanel, a South Florida columnist for the Miami Herald, reported that Brandt was ‘devastated’ over the way he was mocked on Tina Fey’s new show, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, that premiered on Netflix last month.

Brandt was a sought after cosmetic dermatologist who worked with an array of celebrity clientele, including Madonna and Stephanie Seymour. He opened his first office in Miami and later expanded his practice to Manhattan in 1998.
