Dog rescued from South Korean meat farm feels grass for the first time

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 19 (UPI) — The owners of a dog rescued from a South Korean meat farm shared video of the timid canine experiencing grass for the first time.

The video, posted to YouTube by Martyn Stewart, shows a dog named Pocket exploring a patch of grass for the first time in his life after he and 102 other canines were freed from a meat farm in South Korea and brought to the United States by Humane Society International.

Pocket’s Facebook page says he now makes his home in Redmond, Wash.

“Pocket had never seen or walked on grass, smelt a flower, seen the sunshine. This is Pocket’s first grass experience,” the video’s description reads.
