UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Dec. 2 (UPI) — Country music icon Dolly Parton will appear on next Tuesday’s episode of The Voice, NBC announced this week, saying she’ll sing her song “Coat of Many Colors” and spend time with the contestants.
“Parton will mentor this season’s semi-finalists and share with them her infinite knowledge as a music industry trailblazer and icon,” the network said in a news release.
NBC will air Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors — a two-hour movie about the 69-year-old singer-songwriter’s childhood — two nights later on Dec. 10.
Also taking the stage for next week’s episode of The Voice will be country artist and Voice Season 3 champion Cassadee Pope, who will perform her latest single, “I Am Invincible.”
