LONDON, June 30 (UPI) — E.L. James hosted a live Twitter chat on Monday, and what was supposed to be a fan event turned into a critics uproar.
During the Q&A session, which was initially intended to promote James’ new book, Grey, the Twitterverse took the opportunity to bash the author instead.
Some users questioned her quality of writing, while others accused her of being sexist and glorifying sexual abuse. Many critics of the series also made references to the saga {being based off of the Twilight series.
