NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) — Ellie Goulding will team with Scarlett Johansson on her forthcoming “American Express Unstaged” concert.
The 28-year-old English singer tapped the 30-year-old American actress to direct the live stream music series show, which will take place Nov. 11 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
The concert is scheduled just days after the release of Goulding’s third studio album, Delirium, and will be live streamed on AmexUnstaged.com and on the Amex Unstaged app.
“I am so excited for my upcoming ‘American Express Unstaged’ performance and to know I’ll have Scarlett Johansson directing the live stream is really cool,” the singer said in a press release.
“I wanted to go into this album making everything bigger and better, and from the looks of this collaboration we are achieving both of those goals,” she added. “I can’t wait to perform my new album for the fans that will be at the show … as well as for all my other fans around the world.”
Goulding will release Delirium on Nov. 6, which includes the new singles “On My Mind” and “Army.” The singer last debuted the reissue Halcyon Days in August 2013, which features the songs “Burn” and “How Long Will I Love You.”
“I’m excited to be directing this live music event for American Express with Ellie Goulding,” Johansson said. “Ellie is a true artist and an inspiring woman; her creativity and healthy ambition are only matched by her humor and humility.”
Johansson is known for playing Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in the Marvel cinematic universe, and will reprise the role in Captain America: Civil War. The actress is also slated for Hail, Caesar! with Josh Brolin and Disney’s live-action The Jungle Book.
