Rome (AFP) – An emergency response helicopter crashed in the mountains of central Italy Tuesday with six people aboard, local media reported.

The chopper came down near the Campo Felice ski station after being deployed to rescue an injured skier from pistes close to the epicentres of the recent earthquakes and last week’s deadly avalanche, the reports said.
