LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) — Emily Kinney has reportedly joined new web series {i:Con Man}.
The show is created by former {i:Firefly} co-stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, who started {link:a crowdfunding campaign: “http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/2015/03/11/Nathan-Fillion-Alan-Tudyk-launch-campaign-to-fund-Con-Man/2091426093986/”,nw} for the project this month on Indiegogo. The pair easily surpassed their goal of $425,000, and had raised over $2.4 million as of Monday.
Kinney {link:is expected to appear: “http://nerdist.com/exclusive-seven-more-stars-announced-for-alan-tudyk-and-nathan-fillions-web-series-con-man/”,nw} alongside {i:Battlestar Galactica} actors Tricia Helfer and Michael Trucco, {i:Terminator 2: Judgement Day} actor Robert Patrick, {i:Austin Powers} actress Mindy Sterling, {i:Uncharted} actor Nolan North and {i:Supernatural} actress Samantha Smith.
{i:Con Man} follows former sci-fi series actors Jack Moore (Fillion) and Wray Nerely (Tudyk), and see the latter visit conventions and other pop culture events. {i:Firefly} actors Sean Maher and Gina Torres are also confirmed for the project, in addition to Seth Green, Felicia Day and Amy Acker.
Kinney is known for portraying Emily on Showtime drama {i:The Big C} and Beth on AMC series {i:The Walking Dead}. The actress is also scheduled for guest star on ABC drama {i:Forever}, and play a female version {link:of the Bug-Eyed Bandit: “http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/TV/2015/02/09/Emily-Kinney-to-portray-Bug-Eyed-Bandit-on-The-Flash/5111423518374/?spt=sec&or=en”,nw} on The CW series {i:The Flash}.
