LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) — British actress Emma Watson has revealed she took a vow of silence during the week she spent at a private facility in Canada’s Rocky Mountains last year.
The 25-year-old Harry Potter film franchise alum told Vogue U.K. her silent retreat took place shortly before she ended her romance with Oxford University student and rugby player Matt Janney, E! News reported.
Declaring the breakup “horrendous,” Watson confessed, “I felt really uncomfortable.”
“Even before my relationship ended, I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself.”
