KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 30 (UPI) — The Kansas City Chiefs did quite well last week without wide receiver Jeremy Maclin against the Denver Broncos.

But the offense could still use a boost from the veteran wide receiver. On Wednesday, Maclin practiced for the first time since injuring his groin in Week 9. Since his departure, Tyreek Hill has exploded and is now a huge part of the Chiefs’ offense.

While Maclin is no sure thing for a Week 13 battle against the Atlanta Falcons, his eventual return will temper the production of both Hill and tight end Travis Kelce. I still don’t trust Maclin as a consistent fantasy football option, especially during the most important stretch of the fantasy season. The Chiefs’ offense simply does not have enough juice to support three pass-catching options.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said that Maclin was “testing things out” with the injury Wednesday.

Maclin has 376 yards and two scores on 30 receptions in eight games this season. He is signed with the Chiefs through 2019.
