SEATTLE, Sept. 25 (UPI) — Christine Michael will have another chance to impress Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Michael is locked in as the Seahawks’ feature back, after Thomas Rawls was declared inactive. Rookie C.J. Prosise is also inactive Sunday.

Rawls, 23, has 25 yards on 19 rushing attempts through two games. He is now dealing with a leg bruise and strain. Michael, 25, has 126 yards on 25 carries in 2016 for the Seahawks.

On Friday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Michael was in for a “bigger load.” Carroll said that Michael is ready for 20 or more carries per game.

“He’s ready for a bigger load,” Carroll told the Seattle Times. “He’s had 20-something carries so far. He’s ready to carry the ball 20-something times in a game. He could be fine with that.”

Michael is an RB1 play in deeper leagues. I would rank him as a high end RB2 in most formats. The 49ers allowed the most rushing touchdowns to running backs in 2015 and the second most fantasy points per game to the position. San Francisco has yet to allow a rushing score to the position heading into Week 3. The 49ers and Seahawks kick off at 4:05 p.m. Sunday from CenturyLink Field.

“Really well. He hit it really well,” Carroll told reporters about Michael after the Seahawks’ Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, via ESPN. “He looks like he shot out of a cannon. He’s really quick. He’s just getting going. I think he’s really going to get better and more efficient. He had the unfortunate turnover, but other than that he really hit it really well. He must be averaging 5 yards a carry or something. First two games, that’s pretty good.”
