PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 24 (UPI) — The first photos from Fox’s upcoming broadcast of Grease: Live feature Julianne Hough as Sandy, Aaron Tveit as Danny, and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo.
Released Monday, the promotional pics feature both the prim and sexy versions of Hough’s character. In one photo, the Dancing With The Stars judge is seen posing in a crisp white shirt and blue skirt while in another — alongside her on-screen sweetheart Danny (Tveit) — she is donning the legendary skin-tight black jumpsuit and red lipstick.
Hudgens, a Broadway veteran, is featured in another photo as the sassy character Rizzo, standing alongside the duo and showing off her figure in a black shirt and skirt combo. Tveit wears black pants and a black leather jacket over a white t-shirt.
Grease: Live was announced in April of last year as a new live production of the classic musical. Hough was signed on to the cast in January while Tveit joined in July and Hudgens in early autumn. The cast also includes Keke Palmer (Marty), Carly Rae Jepson (Frenchy) and Carlos PenaVega (Kenickie).
Fox will broadcast the Grease: Live event Jan. 31.
