Four Russian military dead in Syria IED blast: agencies

Moscow (AFP) – Four Russian military personnel were killed and two injured when their vehicle was targeted with explosives in central Syria, a statement by the defence ministry quoted by Russian agencies said Monday.

“Four Russian servicemen died… when their car exploded on a radio-controlled IED on February 16, 2017, two more were injured,” the statement said of last week’s attack, adding that the car was driving to Homs from the airport near village of Tiyas.
