LONDON, March 19 (UPI) — Stars from the hit show {i:Game of Thrones} attended the premiere for season five at the appropriate setting of the Tower of London.

Stars from the show graced the red carpet outside the Tower of London Wednesday night. The setting was an appropriate setting for the premiere of the bloody, Machiavellian battle over the Iron Throne of Westeros. The Tower {link:has seen: “http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/mar/18/game-of-thrones-episode-one-series-five-spoiler-free-review”,nw} the vanishings of real-life princes, incarcerated royals and beheaded Queens.
The Iron Throne was set up at the Tower for the premiere.
The new season will deviate from the “Song of Ice and Fire” series written by George R.R. Martin. Fans of the books have been warned some of the characters will die even if they were spared in the books.
“Everybody better be on their toes. [Showrunners] David [Benioff] and DB [Weiss] are even bloodier than I am,” said Martin.
