German police seize 5,000 ecstasy tablets bearing Trump’s face

Aug. 22 (UPI) — Police in Germany announced they seized about 5,000 ecstasy tablets modeled after the head of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Osnabrueck Police said they searched a car during a traffic stop about 9 p.m. Saturday and discovered the approximately $12,900 worth of MDMA tablets, which bore the image of Trump’s face on one side and his name on the opposite side.

Police said they also seized a large amount of cash from the vehicle, which was registered in Austria.

The driver, a 51-year-old man, and his 17-year-old son were detained and are expected to be charged with drug trafficking, police said.

Police said the pair had been driving from Amsterdam, where the drugs are believed to have been produced, to Hanover.
