LOS ANGELES, April 7 (UPI) — Television personality Giuliana Rancic shares details about her past relationships, among other things, in hew memoir Going Off Script: How I Survived a Crazy Childhood, Cancer and Clooney’s 32 On-Screen Rejections.
Written before the recent controversy regarding her comments that Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks smelled like patchouli oil and weed, the book offers a glimpse into Rancic’s rise to fame and best kept secrets. Among them, is the fact that her ex, actor Jerry O’Connell, cheated on her twice.
“I was being two-timed for one of the lesser Spices?” she wrote of Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell, according to Page Six, adding that when confronted, O’Connell said, “‘Yeah, I know. I’m so sorry. I don’t know what happened.’ He had as much emotion as the customer-service representative who tells you your bags missed the flight.”
Later, after the two reconciled, O’Connell had another fallout at Maxim’s 100 Hottest Women party in 2004.
“Little did I know he was in the VIP area, talking up Rebecca [Romijn]. As a prelude to feeling up Rebecca,” writes Rancic.
Months later, when she tried to talk about the issue, O’Connell responded with a “Sorry, homegirl. Things change, but you take care, OK?”
Going Off Script: How I Survived a Crazy Childhood, Cancer and Clooney’s 32 On-Screen Rejections was released Tuesday.
