LOS ANGELES, July 11 (UPI) — The intensity and bizarre practices of fraternity rush on college campuses is exposed in a new trailer for the movie Goat, starring Nick Jonas and James Franco.

Based on a somewhat disturbing memoir written by Ohio teenager Brad Land, who was abducted and beaten by thugs following a fraternity party, this movie reveals Land’s personal tragedy, then the depths to which upperclassmen at universities sink to haze pledges, ScreenCrush reported.

Goat, which first premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, shows college men vomiting, being beaten, their mouths taped shut and drinking to excess by force — the true drama associated with fraternity rush, rather than the comic side of the rituals, Variety reported.
