NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) — ABC’s long-running morning news program, Good Morning America, will be celebrating its 40th anniversary by broadcasting nonstop for 40 hours, the network announced Thursday.
The marathon will begin on Tuesday Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. and will continue on-air uninterrupted and livestreamed online until 9 a.m. Nov. 19.
Viewers will be treated to classic stories and moments seen on the show as well as a special live performance by One Direction, behind-the-scenes dance rehearsals from Dancing with the Stars and the red carpet premiere of Netflix’s new original series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones.
Mark Cuban, Daymond John and Kevin O’Leary of ABC’s hit show Shark Tank will also be on hand to answer viewer questions.
The 40 hour event will end by bringing together GMA’s current cast, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach and Ginger Zee with former anchors including Josh Elliott, Sam Champion, Joan Lunden, David Hartman, Diane Sawyer, Charles Gibson, Nancy Dussault, Sandy Hill, Spencer Christian, Lisa McCree and Morton Dee.
