JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 29 (UPI) — A great white shark off the coast of Jacksonville, Fla., was captured on camera taking bait from a group of fishermen out fishing for red snapper.
The video, posted to YouTube by Team Buck Rogers, was filmed about 11 miles northeast of the Jacksonville jetties and features a group of fishermen looking into the water next to their boat.
The fishermen can be heard discussing the possibility of a large creature under their boat before the great white shark swims into view and is identified by a member of the party.
The shark circles the boat a few times before taking a bite out of up the party’s bait, a red snapper thrown into the water in an attempt to draw out the shark.
The great white returns a few seconds later to snap up the rest of the bait fish.
