LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) — The youngest son of Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is working to build his own reputation in music with the help of Burger Records.
Jakob Armstrong, who goes by the stage name of Jakob Danger, has been periodically releasing new music on YouTube before officially signing with the California-based record company.
The 16-year-old musician and vocalist takes not only after his rockstar father but also his older brother Joey, who drums for the band Swmrs.
Burger Records described the young Armstrong’s music as “super catchy pop punk magic” in the official release of his first single “King of the World.”
The teen’s father joined Green Day bandmates Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool as inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in April.
