NEW CANANN, Conn., Aug. 19 (UPI) — Harry Connick Jr.’s 19-year-old daughter Georgia Connick, was arrested for hosting an underage drinking party at her house in New Canaan over the weekend.
The party took place while the famous musician and wife, former Victoria’s Secret model Jill Goodacre, were away for the weekend. Connick was charged with procuring alcohol for minors and permitting minors to possess alcohol, according to local news station WTNH News 8.
Connick told officers she had planned to host a small get together but several others showed up. Connick was never taken into custody and was released on a promise that she would appear in court in Stamford on September 2nd.
Connick Jr. released a statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday saying “This is a private matter which we are dealing with as a family. We have no further comments. Thank you for understanding.”
While the arrest was taking place, Connick Jr. was busy in Philadelphia handling auditions for the upcoming 15th and final season of Fox’s American Idol.
