LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) — British actor Idris Elba has injured his back and won’t be able to attend Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles as planned.
Elba, 43, is nominated in both television and film categories for his performances in Luther and Beasts of No Nation.
“On doctor’s orders [he] can not get on a plane to attend the Golden Globes,” Elba’s publicist told Entertainment Tonight.
The representative did not offer details as to how Elba sustained the injury.
