NASHVILLE, Nov. 16 (UPI) — Charles Johnson of the Carolina Panthers is suffering a knee injury that has kept him out of all but three of the team’s games this season and on Sunday it almost kept him out of the stadium entirely.
Johnson, who was placed on injured-reserve following a hamstring injury in week three, was forced to buy a ticket for the team’s game against the Tennessee Titans after the Panthers forgot to leave him one.
Johnson tweeted a photo of himself waiting outside of Nissan Stadium in Nashville writing, “Guess I’ll buy my own ticket.”
He was ultimately able to secure a ticket and watch the game from the stands as his team continued their nine game winning streak to remain one of the NFL’s three unbeaten teams.
He was also forced to fund his trip to the team’s game against the Seahawks in October.
Johnson is set to return Thanksgiving day when the Panthers take on the Dallas Cowboys, which should mark the end of his troubles finding a way into the stadium.
