TALLINN, Estonia, Aug. 14 (UPI) — An Estonian fisherman packing it in after an evening of “poor” fishing captured video of his encounter with an “inquisitive” European mink.
The video, uploaded by YouTube user TheGreatMrKarl, shows the fisherman’s evening encounter with the critically endangered animal.
The “inquisitive” mink runs circles around the man for about a minute until the fisherman figures out what the animal is after — his catch.
The fisherman throws a medium-sized perch to the mink, which runs off with the bounty.
The uploader said in a Reddit post he believes the animal was raised in captivity.
“From its behavior and rarity, this animal was 100 percent bred in captivity. Even knowing that, this ‘guy’ is abnormally bold around a person,” he wrote.
