IS-held Mosul completely cut off: Iraqi officials

Baghdad (AFP) – Iraqi-led forces have cut off Mosul from its western supply lines, completing the isolation of the Islamic State group in its stronghold, security officials said.

Hashed al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilisation) paramilitary forces reached the road linking Tal Afar to Sinjar, west of Mosul, and linked up with Kurdish forces there, the officials said.
