CLEVELAND, Aug. 18 (UPI) — Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford could be suiting up for a pretender or a contender next season, as multiple suitors have surfaced.
Frank Isola, of the New York Daily News, reported Tuesday that the New York Knicks have “expressed interest in acquiring” Crawford. Isola also said the “Cavs are pursuing a deal for Crawford,” while Miami is “also interested” in the 35-year-old.
Crawford, a former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1.
Crawford averaged 15.8 points last season in 64 games for the Clippers. He has averaged 15.6 points, 3.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 15 NBA seasons for the Chicago Bulls, Knicks, Clippers, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers. Crawford has shot 35 percent from 3-point range during his career.
