Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Twitter teases Tiger Woods

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 13 (UPI) — Even NFL kickers are taking a shot at Tiger Woods these days.

On Thursday, Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee challenged Tiger to a skins match at Jacksonville’s San Jose Country Club, at $100,000 a hole, via Twitter. Scobee went on to offer Tiger two strokes per side, before saying that he meant to text Tiger instead of Tweeting.

Scobee attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open in 2010, according to ESPN.

Woods shot a career-high 82 to miss the cut last month at the Phoenix Open and dropped out after 11 holes last week at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

“Right now, I need a lot of work on my game, and to still spend time with the people that are important to me,” Woods told Fox Sports. “My play, and scores, are not acceptable for tournament golf. Like I’ve said, I enter a tournament to compete at the highest level, and when I think I’m ready, I’ll be back.”

One fan tweeted at Scobee to ask what would happen if he lost all 18 holes and would have to pay up the $1.8 million purse. Scobee responded “I does.”

In 2012, Scobee and the Jaguars agreed to terms on a four-year, $13.8 million contract. Scobee makes a $3.45 million annual salary with $4.75 million in guarantees.
