LOS ANGELES, March 20 (UPI) — Jason Momoa and Jim Carrey are confirmed for new film The Bad Batch.
The 35-year-old former Game of Thrones star and 53-year-old Dumb and Dumber To actor will appear alongside Keanu Reeves, Suki Waterhouse and Diego Luna.
The Bad Batch is described as “a dystopian love story set in a Texas wasteland,” which reportedly centers on a community of cannibals. Waterhouse will portray lead character Arlen, with Momoa as Miami Man, Carrey as the Hermit, Reeves as the Dream and Luna as Jimmy.
Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) was announced as the director in January, with Megan Ellison of Annapurna Pictures and Danny Gabai and Sina Sayyah of Vice Films as producers. The movie will be shopped at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in May.
Momoa recently played Khal Drogo on HBO series Game of Thrones, and will debut as Aquaman in DC Comics film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Carrey last starred with Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber sequel Dumb and Dumber To.
