Jennette McCurdy’s Netflix series to premiere May 21

BEVERLY HILLS , Calif., March 9 (UPI) — Jennette McCurdy has announced her new small-screen series Between will premiere on Netflix May 21.

“The death toll is rising. New #Netflix original series coming May 21st. #NetflixBetween #PrayForPrettyLake,” the actress tweeted Monday, along with a brief trailer for the series.

Created by writer-director Michael McGowan, the drama will tell the story of “a town under siege from a mysterious disease that has wiped out everybody except those 21 years old and under,” a synopsis said. “The series explores the power vacuum that results when a government has quarantined a 10-mile diameter area and left the inhabitants to fend for themselves.”

The first season will feature six, one-hour episodes.

McCurdy is best known for her work on the family programs iCarly and Sam & Cat.
