WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 (UPI) — Jennifer Lawrence sits at the top of Forbes’ list of the year’s highest paid actresses with a $52 million paycheck.
The Hunger Games actress moved up from her previous spot at number two behind Sandra Bullock, who won the title as highest paid actress last year. Bullock — despite her voice roll in Minions — dropped to the 15th spot on the magazine’s list, making just around $8 million this year.
Lawrence made a sweet $17 million more than this year’s number two, Scarlett Johansson, who starred in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Lucy. The third highest paid actress is Spy’s Melissa McCarthy.
The only foreign actress to make this year’s list is China’s Bingbing Fan, who earned $21 million this year. In the United States, Fan is best known for her role in X-Men: Days of Future Past as Blink.
American Ultra’s Kristen Stewart made the list as number 10, earning a total of $12 million this year. Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow trail behind her at one and two million less, respectively.
Earlier this month, Forbes released its compilation of the world’s highest paid actors with Robert Downey, Jr. again at the top. The Avengers actor earned a whopping $80 million this year — $30 million more than the list’s number two, Hong Kong’s Jackie Chan.
