DUBLIN, Ireland, Oct. 9 (UPI) — Jim Carrey has reportedly traveled to Ireland to support his late girlfriend Cathriona White’s family ahead of her funeral ceremony.
According to People, the 53-year-old actor arrived in Dublin early Friday morning ahead of the Irish makeup artist’s wake scheduled for later that evening. White’s funeral ceremony is set for Saturday at a parish church in her hometown of Cappawhite, the outlet said.
Thirty-year-old White’s body was found in her L.A. home on the night of Sept. 28 after an apparent suicide. According to reports, she left several notes, including one to her ex, Carrey, from whom she had recently split.
The couple reportedly broke up Sept. 24, the same day White posted her final Twitter messages bidding her followers adieu.
Carrey released a statement shortly after her death, saying he was “shocked and deeply saddened,” by the news.
“She was truly kind and a delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” Carrey said. “My heart goes out to her family and friends and everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lighting bolt.”
