Jim Parsons honored with Walk of Fame star

LOS ANGELES, March 12 (UPI) — Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons was honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame Wednesday.

The 41-year-old actor was honored by film producer Jeffrey Katzenberg and television writer and producer Chuck Lorre who spoke during the ceremony.

Parsons is best known for his Emmy and Golden Globe-winning role as Sheldon Cooper on Lorre’s Big Bang Theory. The actor’s co-stars on the show Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, and his mother Judy Parsons were all in attendance at the event.

Parson’s co-star actress Kaley Cuoco received her own Walk of Fame star last October.
