LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) — John Krasinski and James Corden were routinely fired from some of the biggest films in history as part of a new skit on The Late Late Show.

The sketch, which premiered on the late night show Wednesday, involved Krasinski and Corden filming a documentary that follows their past as an unsuccessful Hollywood pairing.

“John and I have been working together for years. We’ve had the opportunity to star in some of the greatest motion pictures in history,” Corden says to the camera. “Bizarrely, we’ve also been fired from every single one of them,” Krasinski adds.

The duo are then shown failing miserably during auditions for films such as A Few Good Men, Gone with the Wind, Pulp Fiction and Into the Woods.

“I’m actually glad we didn’t get those parts because the movie is not good,” The Office alum says, upset that he got let go from Gone with the Wind for dropping a mic during the film’s iconic closing scene. “More like Gone with three hours of my life,” Corden joked.

After rapping the lines to Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise,” instead of reciting the Bible in Pulp Fiction, Corden and Krasinski’s pairing comes to an end after he is replaced by his wife Emily Blunt in Into the Woods.

On Thursday, Corden will be seen driving and singing alongside Britney Spears for the next entry in his popular Late Late Show series, Carpool Karaoke.
