Josh Taekman of ‘Real Housewives’ apologizes for Ashley Madison account

NEW YORK, Aug. 25 (UPI) — Real Housewives of New York cast member Josh Taekman is the latest celebrity discovered to have an Ashley Madison account.

The Eboost founder, and husband to Kristen Taekman, reportedly signed up for an account on the hacked infidelity website in 2011 and made 62 financial transactions during his use. Initially, he denied being connected with the site, saying: “This is the first I’ve ever heard of it.”

However, the father of two released a statement to E! News Monday admitting to the alleged actions. “I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives,” he said.

Last month, hackers successfully breached Ashley Madison’s database, extracting millions of user names and corresponding credit card information from the website. Almost 30 days later, on Aug. 18, the hackers made good on their threat to make the information public and published the data on the dark web.

Since then, a number of public figures, including Josh Duggar and several government workers, have been discovered among the leaked user data.
