LOS ANGELES, March 24 (UPI) — Actress Julie Andrews announced plans to release a follow up to her first memoir, Home, on Monday.
The new book will detail the 79-year-old’s life during the time she starred in the hit films Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and more.
“My first memoir, ‘Home,’ was about my childhood, early training and formative years in the Theater,” Andrews said in a statement. “I am so pleased that my good friends at the Hachette Book Group have encouraged me to share the next phase of my life, beginning with my arrival in Hollywood and the wonderful movies and television programs I was asked to be a part of.”
The memoir, slated for a 2017 release, will also include details from the actress’ marriage to Blake Edwards and her experience with motherhood.
Andrews’ first book, Home: A Memoir of My Early Years, was released in 2008.
