LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) — Justin Bieber took to Twitter Thursday to apologize for his performance in the BBC1 Live Lounge saying he was “thrown off.”

“I don’t usually get nervous but tonight I was thrown off and I was. Sorry about that. Really wanted to be my best. Hope u all had fun,” he tweeted.

Bieber played an acoustic set in the Live Lounge on Thursday, and opened the show with a stripped-down performance of his song with Major Lazer, “Cold Water.”

The set included four of his own songs and two covers — one by Tracy Chapman and the other, a surprising cover of Tupac’s “Thugz Mansion.”
