MANCHESTER, England, Oct. 24 (UPI) — Justin Bieber walked off stage mid-performance Sunday after he grew frustrated with fans who would not stop screaming.

“I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love I appreciate kind things but the screaming in these breaks has got to stop,” the sing said in Manchester as he urged fans to quiet down in-between songs, according to the BBC.

“I don’t think it’s necessary when I’m trying to say something and you guys are screaming,” he continued.

Fan video of the moment posted by The Independent shows Bieber then drop his mic and head to the back after cheers persisted. Some concert goers were even heard booing once he disappeared.

Eventually Bieber did return and explained his actions.

“I feel like I wanna connect with you,” he said. “The point of the no screaming thing is that when I’m looking at you in the eyes, you know that we’re actually having a moment and having a connection.”

“I’m not going to talk the rest of the night. We’re just going to do the music. Obviously Manchester just can’t handle it so let’s do the music,” he continued.

This is the second time Bieber has asked fans to keep it low. He told the crowd at a show in Birmingham to “take a chill pill” after explaining how “the screaming is just so obnoxious.”
