LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) — When Kaley Cuoco found out that a young, terminally ill fan in her last days wished to meet the star, she was eager to connect with her in any way she could.
On Wednesday, the Big Bang Theory star contacted 13-year-old Nicole through FaceTime and sending short videos.
“When I heard Nicole’s story and how much she loved Big Bang Theory, I just had to connect with her in some way,” Cuoco, 29, told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview.
“Through her amazing family, and help from people like Nikki and others, we were able to FaceTime and send little videos straight to Nicole — her two thumbs up was a sure sign that, at least for a moment, she was happy. She is lucky to have such an amazing family and I felt honored to share in such a wonderful moment.”
Cuoco and fashion designer Nikki Lund (who alerted her friend of Nicole’s wish) reportedly stayed up all night to make sure they contacted the little girl, who is located in the U.K.
