Kate Middleton and Prince William vacation to where they first met

FIFE, Scotland, Oct. 23 (UPI) — Kate Middleton and Prince William took a trip down memory lane on Thursday, staying at the five-star Old Course Hotel at St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland.

The lovebirds met in 2001 while attending the University of St. Andrews. They began dating in 2003.

The official Kensington Palace Twitter handle tweeted about the couple’s stay on Friday, and included a old photo of the two dating back to their university days.

The caption read: “The Duke and Duchess spent last night in St Andrews, where they first met @univofstandrews.”

According to Us Weekly, the royals shared a dessert at the Road Hole Restaurant in the popular golf resort.

“Rooms at the fancy hotel start at $470 per night and it overlooks the West Sands beach and the Scottish coastline,” the magazine reported.

On to Dundee, Scotland, where Prince William and Middleton interacted with the crowds awaiting them outside of the Dundee Repertory Theatre. There they joined Prince Harry to support the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

The royals later visited various organizations centered around youth impact. This included The Corner, a center that offers teens advice on topics such as contraception or exam stress, then an anti-bullying workshop put together by RespectMe, a Scotland-based organization.
