Katy Perry, Jeremy Scott take part in handprint ceremony

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 9 (UPI) — Katy Perry and designer Jeremy Scott each left their marks at Hollywood’s Chinese Theater during Tuesday’s handprint ceremony.

The duo wore a matching black ensemble to the event, which reportedly doubled as the premiere of their new movie, The Vladar Company’s Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer.

Scott shared on social media his feelings about being the first fashion designer to receive a handprint ceremony on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. “STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED TONIGHT!!!” he wrote.

After pressing their hands into the wet concrete slabs, designer and muse walked the red carpet for the screening of their film, which follows Scott’s work and collaborations.

“Katy is the arc of the film,” he told Us Weekly before the ceremony. “When you see it, you’ll understand. There’s these iconic moments that everyone knows — like her on the field for the Super Bowl and us at the Met Gala on the stairs. And me kissing her hand. But then you have us in the car and me nervous, and her making me laugh and putting me at ease.”
