LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) — Katy Perry had a strange case of the Mondays this week.
The 30-year-old singer startled fans by sharing a photo of her face and neck covered in gauze on Instagram, writing, “Monday’s got me like :-/.”
The wrappings appear to be part of a facial, but Perry offered no further explanation. The pop star’s nose does seem to be peeling, leading some to believe she did an aloe treatment for sunburn.
Perry partied over the weekend with fellow singers Lorde and Ellie Goulding. The latter shared a photo of the group on Instagram, but deleted the snap amid rumors of a feud between Perry and Taylor Swift, whom Lorde and Goulding are close with.
Perry has several weeks off before resuming her Prismatic world tour Sept. 22 in Lima, Peru. The singer will perform throughout South America before ending the tour Oct. 12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tour is in promotion of her fourth studio album, Prism.
